Polaris Institute
Polaris is designed to enables citizen movements to
re-skill and retool themselves to fight for democratic
social change in an age of corporate-driven globalization.
Essentially, the institute works with citizen movements
in developing the kinds of strategies and tactics required
to unmask and challenge the corporate power that is
the driving force behind governments concerning public
policy making on economic, social and environmental
issues. Director Tony Clarke, co-author of Chapter 2
("The Lords of Water”) and Chapter 7 (“Evian
Backward is naive”), has joined with Maude Barlow
